Welcome to the website for Bristol University Skydiving Club. Here you’ll find everything you’ll need to know about the best sports club there is! We’ve got loads of information for skydivers old and new. Whether you’re ‘sky-curious’ or have 1,000 jumps under your belt, we’d love you to take a look around our website. Never Been Skydiving Before?
Never been skydiving before? Fear not – most of our members join the club with little or no experience. We run training courses with world-class instructors 
at our home dropzone. They teach you everything you need to know about jumping safely from an aircraft. We offer two different training courses – read up more on our Getting Started guide.
The aim is to get you your Skydiving A-Licence, which allows you to skydive anywhere in the world. Once you have this, you can progress on to all manner of things, building up your skydiving repertoire as you add more badges to your license.
Experienced Skydivers
Once you have your A-Licence, this is where it gets really fun. You can now learn to really enjoy yourself whilst you’re in the air, by jumping with friends (after completing your ‘Formation Skydiving 1’ training) or by entering local and national competitions.
We also operate a fully-stocked (and ever-expanding) equipment store, featuring 4 rigs with different size canopies, jumpsuits, helmets, and altimeters. We loan out our kit for free to any members qualified to use it.
BCPA
We are an affiliated member of the British Collegiate Parachute Association, a volunteer-run, non-profit organisation set up for the purpose of promoting
skydiving at a collegiate level. They aim to provide a community where several hundred university skydivers (from over 30 affiliated university clubs) can find like-minded people – with whom they can jump, compete and (most importantly) socialise!
We have a lot of fun at BCPA events and encourage our members to get involved as much as possible. The BCPA also run awesome skydiving trips which we encourage everyone to go on.
