Bulletin – November 21st 2013

Hi everyone,

Loads of important news this week…

1 – This weekend at Dunkeswell

The weather looks good enough for jumping this weekend! Comment on the facebook event and we will try to organise lifts down for you. This might be your last chance for quite some time (with the winter forecast not looking great..) so if you can make it, we’d love to see you down there!

2 – Hoodies!

We’ll be ordering the 2013-14 club hoodies very soon! These are given to you for free with your membership, you’ll just need to let us know what size you’d prefer here (just make sure that you’re logged in with your university email account).

3 – Open Committee Meeting 4/12/13

We’ll be having an open committee meeting at 6pm on Wednesday 4th December at the Hill, in Cotham (where the introductory meeting was.) There are loads of things to be discussed, including electing new committee members and measuring everyone for new club jumpsuits we’ll be ordering over Christmas.  There will be some free pizza too, so make sure you come along! Join the facebook event.

4 – CHRISTMAS MEAL: Skydiving goes to ZaZa’s!! 16/12/13

We’re organising an end of term Christmas Meal at ZaZa Bazaar on Monday 16th December. This is subsidised for all members, and costs just £5 for all you can eat at ZaZa’s! This is a great deal, and it would be brilliant to see all of our new students there. Please RSVP on the  facebook event and pay for your meal on the UBU website by Monday 9th December: .

5 – Mark Dare Award

Each year, we give away a free jump ticket to the student who has progressed the most at the end of the academic year. This year, we’ve decided to give away TWO awards – one to the student who has progressed the most at the end of the first time and the other at the end of the academic year. The Mark Dare Award will be presented at this year’s Christmas meal so make sure you get down to Dunkeswell ASAP!

5 – Final call for tunnel time

Bath Skydiving Club are heading to Basingstoke Airkix Indoor Skydiving Centre on Wednesday 8th December. It’s a great opportunity to improve and build upon your freefall technique and is open to all skydivers, old and new. As a club, we are also hoping to head down for some time in the wind tunnel so if you’d like to be involved, this is your last chance to email Ethan at social@skydivebristol.com.

So in summary, make sure you get down to Dunkes this weekend, email Ethan if you want tunnel time, fill in the form for your hoodie size and keep Weds 4th Dec and Monday 16th Dec free!

Any questions, please do email me or drop me a facebook message. It’s been great to meet so many of you recently and I look forward to meeting more of you soon 🙂
