7 – A Reminder About Membership!

1 – Move to Dunkeswell

The big change this year is that we’ll be moving from our current home dropzone at Netheravon to SkydiveUK in Dunkeswell. In terms of facilities, it’s not too dissimilar but the move means that we’ll be able to continue to offer superb skydiving facilities at affordable prices. Oh, by the way, their planes go to 15,000 feet! See here for full details.

2 – Halloween Party!

Dunkeswell are hosting an awesome Halloween weekend, complete with fancy dress, horror movies, music and loads of jumping out of planes! Check out the facebook event for full details.

3 – RAPS Courses

We’re looking forward to running our first set of RAPS courses with Dunkeswell. RAPS students should all have received confirmation emails, with details of which training weekend you’ve been assigned. To get you in the mood, here’s what you guys can look forward to in just a few jumps time: http://youtu.be/_EFMk6yBznk

There are still two spaces left on our November course, so if you know of anyone who wants to learn to skydive, tell them to get in touch!

If you haven’t received a confirmation email, then you are not booked on to a RAPS course. Please email secretary@skydivebristol.com to resolve this.

4 – AFF Courses

We’re just about to book the AFF courses for this term. If you’d like your first jump to be from 15,000 feet then train by AFF! Check out our complete guide to AFF and get in touch for more info.

5 – Website – www.skydivebristol.com

Don’t forget to take a look around our shiny new 2013 website. We’re always adding skydiving club news and other information to the site, so keep checking! If you’d like to contribute to the website by keeping your own skydiving blog, email webmaster@skydivebristol.com.

We know that skydiving isn’t necessarily the cheapest of sports. Skydiving club hope to ease this cost by way of our ‘Incentives’ scheme, where you can claim back the costs of landmark skydives. There’s more than £100 worth of rewards that’s available to every single member! See here for full details.

7 – A Reminder About Membership!

If you haven’t already paid for your club membership, please do it now! For existing members, it only costs £5 to renew (or £20 if you want a hoodie included). You can pay online and this gives you access to loads of great things, including our club socials, incentives scheme, use of our expanding state-of-the-art kit store and membership to the British Collegiate Parachuting Association. Visit the UBU website to pay your membership.

All the best,

The Committee, Bristol University Skydiving Club
