Skydiving Freshers 2013

Thanks to everyone who came along to the Freshers’ Fair on Thursday. It was great to meet so many exciting potential new skydivers, we look forward to jumping out of aeroplanes with you.

We’re holding a welcome event on Monday evening at The Hill, Clifton. There’ll be loads of free pizza for everyone who comes along. We’ll be talking about the various options available to beginner and experienced skydivers, then taking booking for our up-coming ground schools. It’ll be a great opportunity to get to know other members of the club, so we highly advise that you come along. If you’re in Stoke Bishop, you can get the free bus to Clifton Down Sainsbury’s (basically right by The Hill).

You can read up on the various training opportunities on the getting started page.

We’ve got RAPS courses provisionally booked for the following weekends:

  • October 18th – 20th (FULLY BOOKED)
  • October 25th – 27th
  • November 1st – 3rd

AFF courses can be booked for most weekends (subject to availability).

The Sign Up Process

To secure your place on a skydiving course (RAPS or AFF), you’ll need to complete all of the following:

  1. Paid membership on the UBU website. This costs £20 and should be completed online. You may also need to pay for UBU ‘Sport and Health’ membership – this will be automatically added to your basket if necessary (£20).
  2. Paid your (£60) deposit either in person at the meeting or on the UBU website.
  3. Completed the course registration form to let us know what course you would like to join

You can pay your deposit at any time. Note that courses will get booked on a ‘first-come-first-served’ basis, so it is to your advantage to join the club and pay your deposit as soon as possible (i.e. before the meeting!)
